Are you familiar with what your Inheritance has equipped you for in Spiritual Warfare?
When it comes to praying into the kingdom of God and praying in Spirit, you must know how to first harness and use the weapons of warfare that God has given you because this type of prayer is powerful and moves mountains and kingdoms of the enemy and believe me the enemy does not want any child of God to know how to correctly fight and pray in the spiritual realm, this is something that the enemy has worked very hard on keeping Gods children from for centuries, but guess what, we are about to blow the lid off his box of lies in these series of Praying into the Kingdom! So if you have not read the first two articles of this, as I have said before I encourage this Praying into the Kingdom: Introduction and Praying into the Kingdom: Your Enrollment
Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. “And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. John 14:12-14
I want to touch a point here that makes all of our inheritance relevant through this scripture that will cause such an impact in our lives as children of God. When looking at the references for this scripture in John 12-14 you will see that it is referenced to exactly what we had spoken of last week in the second series of Praying into the Kingdom (which was not planned as I never know what I am going to write until God gives me scripture to meditate on! So that was pretty cool, I thought!): Luke 10:17 Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.” They are not subject to us humans, for apart of God we are sin and death and we must understand this, it says in Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death and also Romans 8:10 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. So, therefore, sin and death(Satan & demons) cannot be subject to sin and death(which is us apart from Christ) for every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand? Luke 12:22-28 (full scripture is verse 22-28, I only put in a couple parts of the full scripture but feel free to read it all) I want you to understand that the only reason demons are subject to us is because of the name of Jesus.
Now moving on to verse 13-14 Jesus says “And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.” Yet again Jesus is saying that it is in His name that the demons are subject to Him and that if you ask anything in His name “HE” will do it. When we are in warfare of any kind, it is not our power that wins the victory or breaks the walls down of the enemy, it is all in the sweet, powerful name of Jesus Christ. It is through this name alone that be highly exalted and above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 1:10-11 I love this scripture because every knee will bow, in heaven, on earth, and under the earth. That means that every single thing that God has created in all those places is subject to the name of Jesus Christ, this has to tell you already how powerful the name of Jesus truly is.
If you want to understand how to fight the battle that is raging around us daily, we must first know how powerful our weapons are, and begin to understand the source of this power, which is in the name… its all in a name, the most beautiful name of names, Jesus Christ! In the scripture above, it does not state “if you ask anything in my name, it will happen.”… Nope; it clearly states if you ask anything in My name “I WILL DO IT”. When we are in a warfare there is nothing that we can do at all to fight this warfare apart from Jesus doing it for us, the scripture says in John 15:5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do NOTHING.” It is very important that we understand that all the power and resources of our inheritance are in Jesus Christ, for without Him we can do nothing, and I do mean nothing, the demons would laugh in our faces if we tried to go to warfare apart from Christ, but believe me when you begin wearing the image of Christ the demons can’t help but notice- as it states in 2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Here is a great saying that I truly admire: “being a child of God, we bear a family resemblance to the Father and to the household of faith… A praying child of God is a constant threat to the stability of Satan’s government.” – A.W. Tozer (paraphrased a little to save space!) See it is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that the demons are subject too, it is not us who possess the power and authority, it is only through the name of Jesus. And I know that many are now thinking… but wait it says in several scriptures that we do have all power, authority, and dominion over the enemy and this is true in a sense, but what is the source of this power and dominion is the power of Jesus Christ, for without Him we have no power and no dominion, it was only because He did what we could not Romans 8:3 For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh (that’s us!), God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh (there’s us again!), on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh. In doing this, He took power and dominion over sin and death and has given to us freely all things (1 Cor 2:12, Matt 10:8), and declared all things to us through His name.
My dear friends, we mustn’t forget where the source of our strength comes from (Psalm 28:7), for if in the day we forget this and begin to think of ourselves more highly then we ought to(Rom 12:3), I assure you this will be the day that Satan and his army have been waiting for and observing, waiting to go in for the kill, because you will begin to believe in yourself and your excellent manner of speech in prayer, power of tongues, and warfare experiences and not rely on the power of Jesus Christ(1 Cor 2:5) No situation of battle is ever the same, I assure you. As you grow and mature in Christ so will your battles grow in the intensity of warfare and you must, by all means, be ready for every battle and equipped for every battleground you are about to walk into, and without Jesus Christ as your source of power and strength, you are bound to fight this battle on your own past experiences of victory, and your own expertise.

You must know that Jesus Christ is in every part of your battles and it is by HIS name alone that you win every battle. Do not forget this, write this down upon your heart (Jer 31:33) and meditate on this day and night (Psalm 1:2), for in the day you forget this, your battles are in vain and you will be conquered in each and every one, it is only through Christ Jesus that we are more than conquers. (Rom 8:37)
I want to end this with a precious quote of mine regarding Jesus Christ and getting to know Him!
The bible is the breath of Jesus Christ, breathing into your very soul and transforming and molding the image of who you are into Himself, it is the fulfillment of that very longing you have always had in your heart, it is every moment you have ever desired, in every word, the beauty and essence of your every hearts desire is in the word, and the word is Jesus Christ.
