As a child of God you were enrolled in an army that you many do not know exists or tell themselves it is not for them out of fear or disbelief, but I assure you the battle is real.

Welcome back to talking about Spiritual Warfare, if you missed the first part of this series Your introduction into Spiritual Warfare  I would highly recommend taking a moment and going back and reading this first blog, the reason I say this is because as I was typing all this up and had worked pretty hard to try my own way of explaining all that God was showing me about this series, He then asked me to delete it all and start over.  Because He wanted me to start from the very beginning of how it all started so that people would understand fully about praying into the kingdom and how the spirit realm of prayer and power works in the children of God, so I obeyed!  So in saying this, I have a feeling that God has got great things in store for this series that He has put on my heart to write, and I would not want you to miss out on any part of it!

Also before we begin I ask that you take a moment and ask God to give you understanding and wisdom (James 1:5) to comprehend all that is written in these blogs, that the Lord would open your heart and remove any veils that the enemy has used to blind you so that you would not know the truth about your rightful inheritance in Christ Jesus.

In  Luke 10:1 After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go.  Luke 10:17-20  Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.”  And He said “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.  Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”

Notice that the Lord “appointed us”, the word appointed means equipped or furnished in a specific way or a specific standard.   Ephesians 1:11 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will.   First, know that through our inheritance we have been predestined and equipped through Jesus Christ- Romans 8:29 says: For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.  What else I love about this scripture is that it states “where He Himself was about to go”, Jesus has equipped us in such a way that even He knew what we were equipped and furnished with through our inheritance in His name, that He sent them before His face.   So the seventy that were sent out in twos returned full of joy for what they had witnessed that even the demons were subject to the name of Jesus.  This is just a piece of what we have been given in our inheritance through Christ Jesus, and even the seventy were surprised and rejoiced in this and were really happy at what they had witnessed.

The next part is very important and pretty neat on behalf of Jesus’ personality, it states “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven”  Almost as if while all the seventy were rejoicing in the things they had seen, this was no new thing to Jesus for He seen the enemy already beaten and defeated in the heavens and cast down.  Then He goes on to say ” Behold, I have given you authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you”  First Jesus let them know that He was a witness to the fall of the enemy, and then He lets us know what authority we do have in Christ and that these 70 have not only proclaimed God’s kingdom but have realized it in the here and now, much like we are to realize as well.

Then Jesus states “Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice that your names are written in heaven.   We first must realize our inheritance in the kingdom of God is first began with our names being written in heaven, without this we have no kingdom, we have no inheritance, so it is vital that we realize that our names are written and sealed in heaven before we can truly understand the remainder of the inheritance that we have received as children of God!  We must know where we came from, what we have in our Father’s kingdom and what authority it is that we operate from, see remember Jesus saw Satan fall from heaven like lightning therefore he is no longer in the heavens where the throne of God dwells, where we in spirit dwell with God because if we have the Holy Spirit of God in us, we are therefore with and in the Kingdom of Gods presence at all times, for He never leaves us nor forsakes us.  Duet 31:6

Know that when your name is written in the heavens (book of life as you call it) your name is automatically enrolled into Gods army along with the remainder of His army.  When you are enrolled in Gods army you are given all the weapons of warfare instantly, not gradually.   You receive every single inheritance of Gods kingdom and His army the moment you surrender yourself to Christ Jesus and receive His life for your own, you are given the keys to the kingdom of heaven through Jesus Christ.

As I did in the first series I will break this down in a simple way so we can get a better picture of what this means!   You are a civilian in regular clothing, as are all civilians all throughout history there has always been a difference in uniform when enrolled in an army of a nation, so you have been given information about Jesus Christ and your heart aches for this love of God in your life, so you give yourself over to God in your heart and by faith are baptized and receive the Holy Spirit of God, at this moment if you could see in the spirit realm it would look something like this:   Your clothing is instantly transformed, a bright shining armor that is unpenetrable from any weapon of the enemy, your name is now written in the book of life in heaven, it is upon this time that you are given every single weapon of warfare, you are given ALL access to the kingdom of God and His army. . . did you hear that?  ALL ACCESS TO THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND HIS ARMY!!  (Go back and up and read again the scripture in Luke 10 that we have talked about)  Now need I remind you that as we are in battle daily against the enemy who has already lost and been cast down, but continues to try and keep children of earth blinded with a veil to keep all this from us, we still fight them daily as they will not give up and neither should we.  When we stand on the battlefield we are no longer in grey uniforms as civilians are, we “stand out now” as we should, there is a light about us that is different than others, and the enemy knows this as well and thus deems us a target.   But remember we have our armor and all access to the kingdom of Gods army within us, we need not fear anything for nothing shall harm us.

I want you to understand that you are now enrolled in the army of God, and there are no works that you can do to gain your access into the kingdom of heaven or Gods army, by faith you have received it all, it is yours the moment you believe, you do not have to wait until you become a better “Christian” to operate in the authority that is in Christ Jesus, it is yours the moment you believed.   God has literally opened the storehouse of his kingdom and says “take, anything you need, take it is yours”  God never withholds what we need to fight this battle, the only thing withholding us is ourselves due to lack of knowledge (my children are destroyed for lack of knowledge-Hosea 4:6).  We are children of God, who are enrolled in His army and need to realize that we are in a battle that is raging all around us, and there is no hiding from it for the children of God.  With all the weapons of warfare that God has given us, we should be bold and ready to go wherever the army of God is calling us and take our sword and strike the enemy.

Jesus Himself is Gods army, and He has already gone before us and conquered the enemy for us just as God has done throughout the entire old testament of the Bible, our God will, has and is fighting for us.  I don’t know about you guys, but I am proud to stand in Gods army next to my Savior Jesus Christ, I am proud to wear His colors and His stripes upon myself, it is an Honor that one can take from me.   Ladies, know your enrollment, know what a precious thing this is to have been enrolled in the victorious army of God, one that has already won the victory, so what have you to be afraid of?  And remember, it is through the blood of  Jesus that the book can even be opened for enrollment, to Him we give all glory and honor to the Risen King, Praise God!
